Iqaluit, Nunavut – November 13, 2020 – Notice is hereby given to the voting members of the Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) that an election will be held on December 14, 2020.

The unofficial list of Candidates is as follows:

Community Director Grise Fiord

Larry Audlaluk

Liza Ningiuk

Candidates for Community Director in Grise Fiord have until Nov. 16, 5pm local time to withdraw their nominations papers, at which time the official candidates will be announced.

To be eligible to vote you must be at least 16 years old on Election Day, an Inuk registered with Nunavut Tunngavik Inc., and have for at least twelve consecutive months preceding election day been a resident of the electoral community.

Polling stations will be open in all Qikiqtani communities from 10am to 7pm local time on December 7 for advance voting and on December 14, Election Day.

Members can also vote by Proxy. Applications available from your local CLO office, www.qia.ca or contacting the numbers listed below.
