Iqaluit, Nunavut – March 14, 2025 – The Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) is pleased to announce a new initiative, in partnership with the City of Iqaluit, for Inuit children and youth at the Aquatic Centre.
Inuit children and youth between the ages of 0 to 30 can access free drop-in swim passes at the front desk of the Aquatic Centre. Given that the Inuit Youth Hope Fund is dedicated for Inuit youth, we ask that individuals self-identify at the front desk.
This program begins on Monday, March 17 and will last until all 3,125 passes are utilized.
The QIA acknowledges the positive impact that the Aquatic Centre has made on our community and hopes to encourage Inuit children and youth to use the pool with these free-access passes.
