Qikiqtani Inuit Association Notice of Election December 14, 2020
Notice is hereby given to the Members of the Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) that an election will be held on December 14, 2020.
The 2020 election is for 8 positions on the Board of Directors of QIA as follows:
| Vice-President | Qikiqtani Region |
| Secretary-Treasurer | Qikiqtani Region |
| Community Director | Arctic Bay |
| Community Director | Grise Fiord |
| Community Director | Kinngait |
| Community Director | Pangnirtung |
| Community Director | Qikiqtarjuaq |
| Community Director | Resolute Bay |
All positions carry a four-year term.
To be eligible to vote you must be an Inuk enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement, be at least 16 years old on December 14, 2020 and have regularly resided in the Qikiqtani Region for a period of not less than a year.
The nomination period will open October 26 and will close on November 6, 2020 at 5pm local time.
Polling locations will be open on Voting Day, December 14, 2020, in every Qikiqtani community from 10am to 7pm local time.
