Kinngait, Nunavut, June 2, 2022 – The Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) is excited to release the 2022-2026 Strategic Plan. This document was written and produced with QIA’s dedicated team of community leaders and employees, using lessons learned, best practices and incorporating input that we’ve heard from Inuit across the region.
The QIA Strategic Plan outlines the goals and objectives for the next five years, while also building on the successes of the past five years, during which time QIA experienced significant growth and capitalized programming, advanced efforts towards reconciliation and development of new capacity to monitor and protect Inuit Owned Lands.
“I am proud of the work QIA has accomplished, and I am excited to continue in this forward-facing trajectory, using this strategic plan to keep up focused on meeting our organizational goals and objectives” said Olayuk Akesuk, President of QIA
We look forward to the continued cooperation and teamwork from Qikiqtani communities, building our relationships and empowering Inuit to create positive outcomes for all Inuit in the Qikqitani region.
The QIA Strategic Plan for 2022-2026 will be available on our website here: https://www.qia.ca/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/qia-strategic-plan-2022_final.pdf
