QIA debuts improved website

 In Media Releases

The Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) is pleased to announce the launch of its newly redesigned website at www.qia.ca.

The new design enhances the look of the website, improves the ease of navigation and updates the information on the site. QIA President Okalik Eegeesiak said she was delighted with the new website.

“Today marks the 37th anniversary of the creation of QIA, which was then called the Baffin Regional Inuit Association, so it’s nice to be able to celebrate that occasion with this new website,” said President Eegeesiak. “It’s not only easier to navigate than the previous version of the site, but will also once again become an important part of QIA’s information outreach to beneficiaries.”

The site features updated information on QIA’s roles, responsibilities and programs, a timeline of its history, along with forms and reports available for download. As well, the website will feature regularly updated information on the status of the Mary River Project, as part of QIA’s commitment to keep beneficiaries notified on its status.
