Iqaluit, Nunavut, March 4, 2025 – Today, the Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) Board of Directors Meeting begins today. Meetings will be open to the public, starting at 1:00PM, at the Aqsarniit Hotel and Conference Space.

Notable discussion items include: the draft 25-26 budget, Indigenous language component spending plan, Nunavut inuit suicide prevention strategy funding, departmental updates, and appointments to various boards.
The QIA Board of Directors will also be attending a signing ceremony in the Grand Hall of the Nunavut Legislative Assembly on March 5, 2025. This agreement signifies an agreement between the Qikiqtani Inuit Association and the Nunavut Arctic College for funding programs to be available in the upcoming Research and Training Centre in Pond Inlet.
