Iqaluit, Nunavut – December 10, 2024 – The Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) Chief Returning Officer (CRO) Monica Ell-Kanayuk today announced that Levi Barnabas was elected as Vice President with 64.2% of votes and Adamee Itorcheak was elected as Secretary Treasurer with 63.9% of votes.
The QIA CRO also announced the elected members for Community Director:

Billy Etooangat Pangnirtung
Rosemary Metuq Qikiqtarjuaq
Sarah Salluviniq Resolute Bay
Martha Jaw – Acclaimed – Kinngait
All terms will be for four years.
Voter turnout was 63% in the Qikiqtani Region.
