Friday, July 2 – Saturday, July 3 at home delivery  

The Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) and Ayaya are partnering to deliver the second of two COVID-19 food security vouchers to Iqaluit Inuit. Vouchers are available for all Inuit in Iqaluit that are 16 years or older as of June 30, 2021.

Inuit will receive food vouchers totaling $275.00 to spend on groceries. One voucher worth $137.50 for Ventures Marketplace, and a second voucher worth $137.50 for Northmart. This is the second of two distributions. Funding for these vouchers is provided by Indigenous Services Canada for emergency relief in communities affected by COVID-19.

If you or a loved one did not pick up their first voucher, eligible Inuit can still receive them at this distribution. When this distribution is concluded there will be no other opportunities for Inuit to collect these vouchers.

  • Eligible Iqaluit Inuit are asked to visit the curling rink between 10am and 7pm Monday June 28 though Wednesday June 30 to collect their vouchers.
  • Eligible Apex Inuit are asked to visit Abe Okpik Hall on Monday June 28 between 10am and 7pm.
  • Anyone who would prefer no-contact deliveries are asked to call 867.979.1484 and provide the number of people in your household who are eligible. These no-contact deliveries will occur July 2 – July 3.
