EVENT: Call for Applications; Joint Parks Management Committee, QIA Co-Management Committee

The Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) is looking for energetic and dynamic individuals to fill the following committee positions. To be considered, candidates must be actively and personally committed to represent the interest of Qikiqtani Inuit and have a sound understanding of the Nunavut Agreement as it relates to the roles and mandates of the position.

  • (5) Joint Parks Management Committee – Grise Fiord, Resolute, Sanikiluaq, Pangnirtung and Qikiqtarjuaq (3 and 4-year term). The JPMC provides advice and support to the management of a designated park or conservation area.
  • Nunavut-wide Territorial Parks Co-Management Committee – Nunavut-Wide (3-year term). The Territorial JPMC provides advice and support to the overall management of all territorial parks across Nunavut.

QIA wishes to ensure complete Inuit participation in the implementation of the Nunavut Agreement. As such, QIA has implemented an open and accountable process for considering qualified candidates.
