PSA: Call for additional applications; proposals for the Qikiqtani Cultural Activities Program

EVENT: Call for additional applications; the Qikiqtani Inuit Association is inviting proposals for the Qikiqtani Cultural Activities Program

The Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) is inviting proposals for the Qikiqtani Cultural Activities Program (QCAP) in the following Qikiqtani communities:

  • Arctic Bay
  • Clyde River
  • Grise Fiord
  • Iqaluit
  • Kinngait
  • Pond Inlet
  • Resolute Bay
  • Sanikiluaq
  • Sanirajak

Individual Inuit and community groups from these Qikiqtani communities are invited to submit proposals for projects that will run during the 2021-22 fiscal year, to the end of March 2022.

QCAP grants are provided through QIA’s Benefits Fund. Money for the Benefits Fund is derived from the Legacy Fund, as the Legacy Fund grows its revenues go to the Benefits Fund to increase programs for Inuit.

QCAP supports community-based cultural programs. Although land and sewing programs are given priority, QIA will also consider other Inuit cultural programs.
