This past summer, QIA asked the residents of Pond Inlet if there was interest in holding a sewing program in their community. 70 people entered their names for the sewing program.

Due to the large number of people that wanted to participate, Sandy Kaunak decided to pull 10 names.

Sandy said the program went very well and ran ahead of schedule. The participants finished their sewing project faster than expected and as a result, Sandy pulled another 10 names to let others have a chance to sew something.

The participants made mitts, ski pants, and parkas.

The Pond Inlet sewing program had 20 participants all together.
