The Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) QIA is hiring!

The Coordinator, Grants and Contribution Programs is to enable the efficient implementation and administration of QIA social programming, including the Qikiqtani Cultural Activities Program (QCAP), the Ilagiiktunut Fund, and other application-based programs.

Reporting to the Program Manager of Grants and Contributions, this role is responsible for the administration of application-based programs and will be accountable for the transparent and accountable deployment and administration of social programs and initiatives that are delivered or funded by QIA. This position provides fundamental support to QIA application-based programs by undertaking activities which include prescreening of funding applications for completeness and accuracy, making recommendations regarding funding approval, liaising with applicants, and managing contribution agreements, monitoring of funded projects and compiling reporting requirement from clients.

To be successful in this role, applicants must demonstrate strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Strong program administration and file management skills are essential. Strong communication skills are required to liaise with applicants and share program information. Fluency in Inuktitut and English is required. Applicants must have one (1) year of experience in program delivery and client service, including report writing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.

Generally, a diploma in Office Administration is required. A combination of a post-secondary certificate such as Office Administration or Nunavut Sivuniksavut, and related experience is an acceptable equivalency.  A satisfactory Criminal Record Check is required.

Starting salary for this position is $74,651 per annum, plus a Nunavut Northern Allowance of $27,600 per annum. Housing is not provided.
