The Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) is holding consultations with all 13 communities until Spring 2024 to develop a new and bold regional approach to conservation. The QIA, as the designated Inuit organization, will negotiate the benefits that can come with a plan to protect lands and waters that are important to each community. This can include, but is not limited to, community and economic development projects, infrastructure, regional expansion of the stewardship program Nauttiqsuqtiit, food sovereignty, fisheries and governance including self-determination.
QIA is looking for your input and expertise. We want Inuit to feel empowered to participate in the development and prosperity of your community.
