Iqaluit, Nunavut, March 29, 2025- The Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) is inviting young and aspiring dog team owners to apply for an exciting week-long learning exchange, hosted by Terry Uyarak and various Qimutsiqtiit knowledge holders.

Participants will spend the week in Igloolik sharing traditional knowledge, maintenance practices, tool making and will have the opportunity to go hunting, using a dog team.

To be eligible to apply for this program, Inuit youth must be between the ages of 15-30, reside in a Qikiqtani community and have a passion and willingness to learn about dog teaming.
