Ilisaqsivik staff and volunteers made the first delivery of food hampers to Elders in Clyde River earlier this week and it was a success!

“It was perfect,” said Christine Natanine, Executive Coordinator at the Ilisaqsivik Society. “The Elders were so happy!”

This is part of the QIA COVID-19 response plan which is designed to provide short-term financial support to Qikiqtani Inuit Elders during the COVID-19 pandemic. The emergency program is in place for 12 weeks.

We will keep you updated as this program continues – thank you Ilisaqsivik staff and volunteers in Clyde River, you are making things easier for our Elders during this challenging time!
