The Qikiqtani Qimuksiqtiit Program (QQP) is designed to support Qikiqtani Inuit with the maintenance of their qimmiit (dogs) / ᕿᑭᖅᑕᓂ ᕿᒧᒃᓯᖅᑏᑦ ᐃᑲᔪᕐᓂᐊᕐᒪᑕ ᐃᓄᐃᑦ ᕿᒻᒥᖏᓐᓄᑦ.
How Much Money Is Available?

Eligible applicants will receive $3,500 each fiscal year. / ᑐᒃᓯᕋᖅᑐᓕᒫᑦ ᐊᖏᖅᑕᐅᔪᑦ ᐊᑐᓂ $3,500ᒥ ᐃᑲᔫᓯᐊᖅᑖᕈᓐᓇᖅᑐᑦ ᐊᕐᕌᒍᑕᒫᑦ.
Who Can Apply? / ᑭᒃᑯᑦ ᑐᔅᓯᕋᖃᑦᑕᕈᓐᓇᖅᑲᑦ?
Qikiqtani members who are living in the region, aged 16 or older, on the NTI enrolment list, who are masters of their dog team and have a minimum of 5 dogs can apply.
This funding program is not for political organizations, religious organizations, businesses, or territorial or federal government agencies.
A reference check will be made by our staff to confirm the applicant’s eligibility for Qikiqtani Qimuksiqtiit Program (QQP) funding. This will be done by contacting the Community Liaison Officers or the Iqaluit Qimussiqtiit Katimajingit.
