The Department of Finance at QIA is primarily responsible for the protection and safe keeping of QIA’s assets. This is accomplished through the implementation and compliance of the financial policies and procedures. In doing so, the Finance Department ensures the assets are properly recorded, managed and accounted for and, the liabilities are serviced in a timely manner.
The Finance Department is a service Department. As such, it serves all QIA departments, the Executive committee and, the QIA Board of Directors. Operationally, the department is responsible for the planning and preparation of the annual budget, the monthly departmental financial statements, the quarterly operational statement of operations as well as the coordination of the year end audit that produces the annual audited financial statements.
