QIA Announces official recount Results for the position of Community Director in Iqaluit
(Iqaluit, Nunavut) The Qikiqtani Inuit Association’s Chief Returning Officer Paul Okalik announced that Steven Polee Lucassie has been elected as the Community Director of Iqaluit for QIA. This is a four year term position.
A mandatory recount was conducted because the votes of two candidates were within two per cent of the unofficial elected candidate.
