The Program Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to coordinate the delivery of the training components of Training to Employment, as directed by the Program Manager. The successful candidate will work to identify eligible participants for training and employment opportunities in alignment with projects.
Our selected candidate will have demonstrated experience with effective implementation of project related activities, providing support for logistical planning, providing progress reports, effective communication, and managing data. The candidate will be a keen learner of new processes and the promotion of new methods to accomplish the department’s goals. Our selected candidate will be tasked with the responsibility to liaise with project partners and third parties regularly.
For the candidate to achieve the best results they will likely have completed a college program involving Business Administration and past work experience pertaining to project management. We will accept applications with a combination of education and experience. A Certification in Project Management is viewed as a considerable asset for this position.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is also required.
This position required the candidate to be bilingual in Inuktitut and English.
The position will require the successful candidate to:
• Work in standard office conditions the majority of the time.
• Take part in occasional and remote travel by small aircraft. Trips may be up to one week in duration
• Occasionally lift boxes, files and promotional materials (under 40lbs)
• Work on evenings and weekends to meet deadlines
