The Project Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to ensure and enable the efficient coordination and administration of QIA social programming. The person in this position will be accountable for the transparent deployment and administration of community programs and initiatives.
Our selected candidate will have demonstrated experience with effective implementation of project related activities, provides expertise and leadership in the execution of their role as well as supporting the Director of Social Policy to achieve advances in several key areas, including enabling Inuit self-sufficiency. The candidate will be a keen learner of new processes and methods that can assist in accomplishing the department’s goals.
A successful candidate will likely have completed a college program and have past work experience pertaining to social policy issues as well as project management. We will accept application with a combination of education and experience. A Certification in Project Management is viewed as a considerable asset for this position. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint are also required.
For this position, fluency in Inuktitut and English is preferred.
- Will require work in standard office conditions the majority of the time.
- Will require occasional travel to remote locations by small aircraft. Trips may be up to one week in duration
- Will require the lifting of boxes, files and promotional materials (under 40lbs)
- Will require occasional work on evenings and weekends to meet deadlines or attend meetings
