The Program Manager’s Department of Major Projects (DMP) primary responsibility is to lead efficient and effective implementation of the Training to Employment program, ensuring the objectives of the program are achieved while adhering to the scope of work.
Program Manager is accountable for the timely, cost effective delivery of the program. As well the manager is responsible for managing the Inuit labour pool covering the Qikiqtani Region. Additional, the Program Manager serves as the primary information source reporting detailed information on program progress and results.
The successful candidate will likely possess university level bachelor’s degree, certification for project management, experience as an adult facilitator, human resources training, recruitment and selection. A combination of experience and education will also be considered for this position.
Office administration and the various associated technologies including internet use, data, file, and information management systems; strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint; with the ability to apply this proficiency toward using Microsoft Project. This position will require the successful candidate:
- Regular and remote travel will be required. Trips may be up to one week in duration.
- The role will require travel by small aircraft to remote locations.
- The role may require occasional work on evenings and weekends to meet deadlines or to respond to emergent issues.
