The Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) Executive Committee today announced that Navarana Beveridge will be the Chief Returning Officer for QIA’s upcoming elections.

Qikiqtani beneficiaries will vote for a Secretary/Treasurer in a Qikiqtani‐wide election. The communities of Arctic Bay, Kinngait, Grise Fiord, Qikiqtarjuaq and Resolute Bay will also choose a Community Director in this election to represent them on the QIA
board of directors. Nomination period opens on Monday, October 22 until November 5, 2012.

The election date has been set for Monday, December 10, 2012.
